<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain sharp and enough color reproducibility and color developing property when a full-color image is formed by mechanically kneading a mixture comprising pigments. water-soluble inorg. salts, water-soluble solvents and two kinds of pigment dispersants. SOLUTION: A mixture comprising a pigment, water-soluble inorg. salts, water-soluble solvents, a pigment dispersant expressed by formula I:(R1 )k Q- O-(CH2 CH2 O-)n -H and a pigment dispersant expressed by formula II:(R2 )m -P-X-SO3 M is mechanically kneaded to finely pulverize the pigment. Then the inorg. salts and solvents are removed by cleaning with water to prepare a water-based paste of the treated pigment. The paste is then heated and kneaded with a resin which is solid at normal temp., and the water content is removed to obtain a resin-coated pigment. The pigment thus obtd. is heated and kneaded with a binder resin. In formula I, Q is a phenylene group or the like, R1 is a phenyl group or the like, (k) is 0 to 3, and (n) is 2 to 100. In formula II, P is a phenylene group or the like, R2 is a phenyl group or the like, (m) is 0 to 3, X is a polyoxyethylene group, and M is an alkali metal or the like.</p> |
