The radial pump or motor has a rotor (12) with radial cylinders (14) for pistons (16). An adjuster (28) is provided for the peripheral crown ring (24) and has a screw acting on its periphery via rack teeth (32) on the ring. The ring is surrounded by a pivoting cage (38) and the teeth may be mounted on this.
