The invention relates to anti-petasin antibodies for detecting petasin or petasin protein conjugates in physiologic liquids which do not comprise any cross reactivity with regard to derivatives, structural analogues or metabolites of the petasin. In addition, the invention relates to methods for producing the inventive antibodies by means of an immunization by petasin derivatives which are preferably coupled to a carrier molecule. The invention also relates to the use of the inventive antibodies and to a test kit.
