Conveyor belt is molded from material containing basic polymer and additive, which are selected so that belt extruded from this material possesses at least one characteristic imparting wear-resistance and creep-resistance to belt and allowing it to be charged. Apparatus has conveyor belt adapted for transporting charged particles in direction transverse to direction of electric field. In the process of particle contact charging, belt is exposed to friction force and acquires tension during operation.
