The storage magazine has a number of storage compartments (2) for the respective data carrier cassettes, positioned side-by-side and/or one above the other and is assembled from a rear part and a front wall (1) provided with the storage compartments, which are joined together via at least one coupling element. Each of the latter can be inserted in an opening (16,17) in the front wall aligned with a threaded reception bore projecting forwards from the rear part.
