PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an air-filter is provided which is harmless to environment in case of incineration and naturally decomposed in case of filling-up during disposal of the paperboard after using by using an environmental-friendly new paperboard for the air-filter. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing an environmental-friendly air-filter comprises the steps of manufacturing a paperboard for upper and lower caps using main constituents of cotton textile and pulp(S102); cutting the produced paperboard for upper and lower caps according to types and sizes of air-filters so as to form the upper and lower caps(S104); forming the upper and lower caps by pressing the paperboards with a press after dipping the cut paperboards for upper and lower caps into water for 30 to 120 seconds and putting the water dipped paperboards for upper and lower caps on types of dies(S106); manufacturing a paperboard for inner and outer punch members using the cotton textile and the pulp as main constituents(S108); punching the paperboard after putting the produced paperboard for inner and outer punch members on a press on which punching dies are mounted(S110); cutting the punched paperboard for the punch members to sizes corresponding to types and dimensions of the inner and outer punch members(S112); manufacturing an inner punching member and an outer punching member by adhering the cut paper boards for the inner and outer punch members respectively(S114); and inserting a filter paper between the manufactured inner and outer punch members(S116), applying an adhesive to the formed upper and lower caps, covering the adhesive applied upper and lower caps on the upper and lower surfaces of the inner and outer punch members(S118), and closely adhering the upper and lower caps to the surfaces of the punch members before drying in a drying furnace(S120).
