PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small, high speed and inexpensive optical reader for reading a single or multiple tracks of an optical disk. SOLUTION: This system assembly 10 is provided with a single undividable unitary holding member having a laser and detector block (LDB) 12 which is an array integrating laser and detector diodes, a single bi-lens(BL) 14 for optically adapting the laser and detectors, and an electro-mechanism servo mechanism(EMS) 18 for adjusting the position of LDB 12 and BL 14. Since LDB 12 is small in volume and light, the position can easily be adjusted. Thus, an optical alignment in the optical pickup assembly 10 can be adjusted more freely, and even when the package is violently vibrated, the alignment can be compensated without relying only on the adjustment of the optical parts. |
