PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine of which the washing power is increased by evenly spraying and infiltrating a detergent liquid of a high concentration onto and into laundry. SOLUTION: The high concentration detergent liquid of which the detergent concentration is, e.g., 80 to 300 times is formed by dissolving a small amount of the detergent with a detergent dissolving water. The high concentration detergent liquid is sprayed and infiltrated onto and into the laundry while diluting it to a detergent concentration of, e.g., 5 to 20 times. Then, a prewashing process which applies a mechanical power to the laundry is provided. In the prewashing process, an agitating blade 4 which applies the mechanical power to the laundry 38 in a washing-dehydrating tub 2 is made to relatively move to the washing-dehydrating tub 2. Thus, the laundry 38 is motion-controlled in a manner to be rocked, and the washing power is increased by sufficiently infiltrating the high concentration detergent liquid into the laundry 38.
