PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery excellent in a cycle life using a carbonaceous negative electrode capable of doping and dedoping lithium. SOLUTION: This battery is a nonaqueous electrolyte battery using as a negative electrode a carbonaceous material capable of doping and dedoping lithium, using as a positive electrode a compound oxide of transition metal and lithium, and using as an electrolyte a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a dissolved carried salt in a nonaqueous solvent, and the nonaqueous electrolyte contains at least one kind of anionically addition-polymelizable monomer selected from the group comprising isoprene, stylene, 2-vinylpyridine, 1-vinyl imidazole, butyl acylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, N-vinyl pyrrolidone, ethyl cinnamate, ionone, and myrcene to form a coating film on a surface of the carbonaceous negative electrode at the time of charging. |
