PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and facilities for continuous rolling, by which method and facilities, excellent quality of products and an excellent yielding ratio can be achieved by preventing defects in a continuous rolling operation for manufacturing steel bars, wire materials, etc. by continuously joining a plurality of hot steel billets by flash-butt welding in a running state and by rolling the joined steel billets. SOLUTION: The method for continuous rolling comprises a heating step of heating billets up to a required temperature, a flash-butt welding step of joining the tail end of a preceding billet with the leading end of a following billet by flash-butt welding in a running state, a deburring step of removing burrs existing on the welded portions, a trimming step of trimming corners of a cross section of the deburred welded portion, and a rolling step of rolling the joined billets.
