PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for a portable electronic apparatus that can be used for a variety of electronic apparatuses and is surely charged by being prevented from the fall-down of the electronic apparatus by an impact. SOLUTION: Terminals of the electronic apparatus 2 are connected to charging terminals 4, 4... of the charger by inserting the electronic apparatus 2 containing the battery into a recess 3f that is opened upward, and the charger 1 charges the battery. The bottom of the recess 3f is formed to be a plane having a step 3a, an inclined face is formed at a corner in a direction where a bottom plate at the upper end of an erecting plate of a pressing member 5 having an almost L-shaped cross section whose erecting plate uprightly erects from the bottom plate having the thickness of the step 3a, the pressing member 5 is attached to the recess 3f by being energized by springs 7, 7 so that the tip of the bottom plate of the pressing member 5 is press-contacted with the step 3a, and the electronic apparatus 2 is inserted into a gap between the electing plate of the pressing member 5 and the wall of the recess 3f against the elasticity of the springs 7, 7.
