PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a musical sound with the depth such as real strings and to enable a real performance by providing a storage means for storing plural performance character data and a means for respectively supplying the different player character data to plural sound generation slots. SOLUTION: A control part 21 is constituted of a microcomputer, and is provided with a memory 22. The waveform data for forming basic musical sound waveforms of plural instrument tone colors specified by an MIDI message and the character data expressing habits of the performance of plural players are stored in the memory 22. On the other hand, a sound generation engine 23 is constituted of a DSP, and is provided with plural sound generation slots. Then, the control part 21 inputs the waveform data, the player character data and the pitch data received by a note-on message and the velocity data to the sound generation slots. The sound generation slots start generation of the musical sound based on these data. |
