An electrical splicing apparatus (10) for use with a dispenser is provided. The apparatus comprises first and second receiving members (12,14) movable between an open position and a closed position. In one embodiment, the first receiving member (12) defines a first guide to receive ends of electrical wiring (30) . When the first and second receiving members (12,14) are in a closed position, a conduit (34) is formed by at least the first guide and the electrical wiring (30) is encased in the conduit (34) by the receiving members (12,14) . Either of the receiving members at least partially defines a passageway between the conduit (34) and an outside edge of the receiving member thereby to allow the flow of a settable material from a dispenser to the conduit (34) in which the ends of the electrical wiring is encased to cast an insulation layer around the ends of the electrical wiring (30) .
