PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch device preventing cross talk between switchable waveguides. SOLUTION: A switching cell 84 is provided with a middle waveguide 92 extending from an input waveguide 60 forming an angle of 90 deg. or more, and is provided with a first switch mechanism 86 at the crossing part of both. Further, the switching cell 84 is provided with a second switch mechanism 88 placed along the middle waveguide 92. The first and second switch mechanisms 86 and 88 are set so as to perform push-pull type operation. When the first and second switch mechanism 86 and 88 are in a first state, an input optical signal is transmitted through the first switch mechanism 86 to be outputted to a first output waveguide 94, and when they are in a second state, the input optical signal is reflected by the first switch mechanism 86, and is transmitted through the second switch mechanism 60 to be outputted to a second output waveguide 96. |
