PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared detector capable of suppressing inexpensively capacity coupling between an electrode for bonding a detection output end of an infrared detection element and an electrode for connecting a terminal pin for a detection signal of a circuit part for signal processing, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In this infrared detector A, a circuit block 1 is constituted of an upper member 6 wherein the infrared detection element X is mounted on the upper surface through a recessed part 7, and an electrode 17a having a shield potential and a connection electrode 18a are formed on the under surface; and a lower member 2 wherein at least a part of a circuit component constituting the circuit part for signal processing is buried, and a connection electrode 18b to be bonded to the connection electrode 18a in the upper member 6 is provided on the upper surface. The terminal pins 11a, 11b for the detection signal projecting from the upper surface side of a stem 9 loaded with the circuit block 1 through a spacer 10 are inserted into through holes 20 of the lower member 2, and each upper end thereof is bonded to an electrode 21 for detection signal output facing to the upper surface part of the lower member 2 by a conductive adhesive 22.
