The method involves production of Fra e 1 by recombinant technology in yeast Pichia pastoris, which implies the use of nucleotide sequences obtained by the mutagenesis. A major allergen is isolated, purified and characterized from fraxinus excelsior pollen, and is recognized by 65 percent of patients allergic to the biological source. The allergen is cloned and expressed in the recombinant deoxyribonucleic acid that encodes the Fra e 1 allergen of ash pollen. The recombinant protein is produced in yeast. The resulting fragments contain an epitope. An independent claim is also included for a recombinant variant of fraxinus excelsior ash pollen allergen, Fra e 1.
