<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array substrate for an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display exhibiting improved display quality by allowing a repair pattern to act the same operation as a defective pixel under the repair pattern in a repairing step using the repair pattern. <P>SOLUTION: The array substrate for an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device includes: first and second gate lines formed on a substrate including first and second pixel regions; a common line formed parallel to and apart from the first gate lines; data lines intersecting the first and the second gate lines to define the first and the second pixel regions, respectively; first and second thin film transistors connected to the first and the second gate lines and to the data lines, and placed in the first and the second pixel regions, respectively; a repair pattern extended from the first thin film transistor to the second pixel region; and a first pixel pattern placed in the second pixel region, connected to the second thin film transistor and overlapping the repair pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
