The system has a control unit (4) for monitoring the actual revolution rate of the motor and for exerting control influence on the motor if the actual revolution rate deviates from the synchronous revolution rate over a defined time. The control unit operates the motor in asynchronous mode at reduced revolution rate if the deviation persists for a defined period.
