A temperature correcting method of an automatic temperature control system is provided to correct the inside temperature of a vehicle in idle state to the target temperature by controlling the temp door drive motor so that the temp door is closed more toward the heat core. A temperature correcting method of an automatic temperature control system comprises a first step of receiving the speed of a vehicle sensed by a vehicle speed sensor(S100), a second step of determining whether the vehicle is in idle state from the vehicle speed(S110), and a third step of, when the vehicle is in idle state, controlling output units except for a temp door drive motor according to the sensing signals of the sensor unit and controlling the temp door drive motor so that a temp door is closed toward a heater core more than when controlled according to the sensing signals of the sensor unit(S120~S135).
