PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch having the merits of both a plate spring type and a rubber type while being simple in constitution. SOLUTION: A spring plate member 61 is provided for a hub 6, a plate spring part 61b generating spring force in the direction opening an armature 5 from a rotor 4, and outer circumferential ring part 61h to be extended in the radial direction while being faced to the armature 5, are formed up integrally with the spring plate member 61, and a gap between the armature 5 and the outer circumferential part 61h is directly connected with an elastic member 63 made of rubber. By this constitution, the operational noise of an electromagnetic clutch 1 and a compressor 7 can be effectively lowered by means of the oscillation attenuating action of the elastic member 63, and furthermore, the size in the axial direction of the elastic member 63 can be made smaller to the great extent as compared with that of a conventional cylindrical elastic member by forming the shape of the elastic member 63 into a plate shape. |
