The present invention relates to a battery cell having an electrode assembly embedded in a battery case, the electrode assembly comprising a cathode, an anode, and a separator interposed between the cathode and the anode, wherein the separator comprises a porous polymer substrate and an organic/inorganic porous coating layer formed on at least one surface of the porous polymer substrate, the organic/inorganic porous coating layer comprises inorganic particles comprising a mixture of a metal oxide and a metal hydroxide, and a mixture of a PVdF-HFP polymer binder ("PHFP high") having a high hexafluoropropylene (HFP) content and a PVdF-HFP polymer binder ("PHFP low") having a low HFP content, and the adhesive strength of the separator and the cathode or the anode is 15 gf/25 mm or more.
