The cigar or cigarette box comprises a lid (3) which is sliding lengthwise along the body (1) of the box. A member, constituting of a stirrup-shaped metal wire (4) whose ends are inserted into the box, is provided for lifting the extremity of a cigar or cigarette when the lid is partially removed; when the lid is closed, the member's arms are pulled down into slots (6) made in the body of the box. On the other hand, the stirrup-shaped member tips up when the lid is pulled back. |
