A paper ring (1) which is intended to be placed on the sitting surface of a toilet lid is folded together until it can be accommodated in an envelope-like enclosure (8) of pocket size, e.g. of approximately A7 format. The enclosure (8) is sealed in an airtight manner so that a liquid disinfectant with which the paper ring is permeated cannot evaporate. <IMAGE>
