PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a more clear image to be retained by giving superior ink absorptivity, ink fastness, water resistance and an anti-running property with respect to an ink jet record medium formed of a dye fastness layer consisting of an interlayer compound and binding agent that accepts and retains water soluble dye by an intercalation reaction. SOLUTION: The ink jet record medium is formed on the base material 2 with a dye fastness layer 1 consisting of an interlayer compound and binding agent that acceptance retains a water soluble compound by an intercalation reaction, wherein the dye fastness layer 1 is contained with polyglycerol fatty acid ester. When an ink absorption layer consisting of ink absorption resin is further formed on the dye fastness layer 1, polyglycerol fatty acid ester is contained in the ink absorption layer. At this time, it needs not to contain polyglycerol fatty acid ester in the dye fastness layer 1. |
