<p>For handling loose insoles (I) in a backpart moulding and seat lasting operation a shoe support (10) has, in addition to upper tensioning grippers (88), presser means in the form of presser members (78A, 78B), one associated with each gripper (88). In operation a first presser member (78A) serves to hold the toe end of a shoe last against a toe pad (62) and the insole (I) is positioned on the last bottom, overlying the member (78A). The second presser member (78B) then clamps the insole (I) in position, whereafter the first presser member (78A) is withdrawn and then returned thus to clamp the insole (I) also. This operation of the presser members (78A, 78B) is achieved pneumatically by successive operations of operator-actuatable control means (FS1).</p> |
