PURPOSE:To obtain the electronic musical instrument which can discriminate the output channel of musical performance information outputted by a keyboard while monitoring a MIDI signal. CONSTITUTION:The electronic musical instrument is connected to plural external sound sources, etc., through a MIDI(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) 6. The MIDI signal path has plural channels (transmission lines) and the sound sources are assigned, channel by channel. A 7-segment display unit 7a displays the states of MIDI signals of the respective channels. Then a CPU 1 performs various processes corresponding to the operation of panel switches 7b and displays a channel assigned to, specially, the output channel of a sound source 8 differently from other MIDI channels. |
