A device which can be used in technology for precise measurement, under diverse pressures and temperatures, of such physical properties of fluids like isothermic and adiabatic compressibility, density, coefficient of thermal expansion, speed of propagation and level of absorption of ultrasound, and for determination, on the basis of the said parameters, of heat capacity and other thermal-physical and thermodynamic properties, functions and potentials, and which comprises a casing (1) consisting of a high-pressure vessel with a measurement chamber, a piston (8), a unit (14) for generation and reception of signals and for data recording and processing, an oscillation transducer (5) mounted inside the chamber and forming two interconnecting measuring cells with a permanent (6) and a variable (7) base. Between the piston and the oscillation transducer may be mounted with a slide fit a piston insert (17). The device allows increased precision and resolving power when measuring physical properties of fluids at diverse pressures, volumes and temperatures. |
