PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device having a structure requiring no sheath connection formed on the cover of a ballast, by simplifying an earth connecting structure. SOLUTION: A shield sheath 27 to cover output wires 23, 24 is fixed to a bus bar case 21 by using a clip 128, and among terminals 120, earth connection 120c connected to the earth side of a power source are protruded from the bus bar case 21, the bus bar case 21 is assembled to a metal base 122, and with a metal cover 111 mounted on the base 122, the cover 111, the clip 128, the earth connecting part 120c and the base 122 are connected for grounding by a screw 126. |
