The invention relates to a preserved feeding stuff and/or food stuff comprising dried greenmatter of the vegetative plant parts of the species Chenopodium quinoa and a method of preparing it, preferably by drying in a drum drier. The invention also relates to the use of the food/feeding stuff in human food and as feeding stuff for ruminants and monogastric mammals. The food/feeding stuff of the invention is cheap and have a high nutritive value.
