PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic composition containing a polyethylene glycol ester and a specific quaternary phosphate in a vehicle comprising a fatty phase and an aqueous phase, capable of sufficiently removing a makeup without a need of rinsing. CONSTITUTION: This cosmetic composition contains a polyethylene glycol and a quaternary phosphate of formula I [R is a tertiary amine (cyclic, acyclic, aliphatic, aromatic and heterocyclic); X is an anion; A is an alkali metal; (x+y) is 3, provide that (x) is not 0] in a system consisting of a fatty acid and an aqueous phase, and especially is the cosmetic composition for performing the removal of a makeup and/or cleaning of a makeup from a skin and/or the cast of eyes. Further, it is preferable that the R in the formula I is an amideamide unit of formula II [R1 is an alkyl, etc.; R2 is H, an alkyl, etc,; R3 , R4 are each an alkyl, etc., or R3 and R4 together form a heterocyclic ring containing N; (n) is 2-10]. The composition can remove a waterproof makeup product for the cast of eyes, especially a foundation for a player, a face powder, a lipstick, etc. |
