PURPOSE: A television receiver with a display function of a sound power consumption is provided to display the power consumption on a screen by calculating sound signals output to a speaker. CONSTITUTION: A television receiver with a display function of a sound power consumption comprises a speaker(100), a CRT(102), a tuner, a picture circuit(106), an OSD portion(108), a mixer(110), a sound circuit(112), a current and voltage measurement portion(114), a reception portion(116) and a control portion(118). The speaker outputs sound signals. The CRT outputs video signals. The tuner receives broadcasting signals. The picture circuit processes the broadcasting signals and outputs the video signals. The OSD portion receives values of power consumption and outputs corresponding texts, numbers, symbols, and pictures. The mixer mixes the video signals and the corresponding texts, number, symbols, and pictures. The sound circuit performs sound processing for the selected broadcasting signals to output sound signals. The current and voltage measurement portion measures a current value and a voltage value loaded on the sound signals. The reception portion receives volume signals from a volume up/down button prepared on a front panel of a remote controller or a television receiver. The control portion provides an volume control signals, calculates values of power consumption, and outputs the power consumption values. |
