The device for hauling felled trees by helicopter comprises a cable attached to the helicopter hull and a grab attached to the lower part of the cable. The distance between the cable-hull attachment points and the grab lies in the range 1.78 - 7.27 times the diameter of the helicopter rotor. The pincer-type grab is provided with a hydraulic or electrical drive and at least two air fans arranged on the grab symmetrically in relation to the cable attachment point.
