The transmission (1) comprises first (2) and second (3) rotating parts having a variable speed ratio between them. The first part comprises a disc (15) and the second part a roller (16). The disc has a plane friction surface (6) orthogonal to its axis of rotation. The roller is able to move radially relative to the disc friction surface has a second friction surface (7). These mating friction surfaces enable the driving of one relative to the other at a given speed ratio as a function of the radial position of the roller on the disc friction surface. A device (8) allows adjustment of the radial position by a slight tangential deviation of the roller so as to allow a continuous variation of the gear ratio.
