<p>A lock mechanism comprises a set of levers 7 arranged to pivot within a lock barrel 11A. In a locked condition the levers 7 retain a side bar 10A so as to engage a housing 8A. The corresponding key includes one or more grooves 1A which engage the levers 7 on insertion so as to rotate them to a position where the side bar 10A may be received within the levers 7. Conventional blade and pin tumbler arrangements may be provided on the lock and key in conjunction with the lever mechanism. <IMAGE></p> |
