PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the development of a curling, ensure a stable conveyance and, at the same time, improve the durability of a medium by a method wherein the thickness and heat shrinkage factor of a support are specified in a reversible heat sensitive recording medium, in which a reversible heat sensitive recording layer mainly made of an electron donable colorable compound and an electron acceptable compound is provided. SOLUTION: In a reversible heat sensitive recording medium, in which a reversible heat sensitive coloring composition utilizing the coloring reaction between an electron donable colorable compound and an electron acceptable compound is employed so as to make the formation and elimination of a coloring image possible through the controlling of a heat energy, the thickness of a support is set to be 250 μm or more and its heat shrinkage factor at 150 deg.C for 30 min is set to be 0.1-3.0%, Further, on the rear surface of the support, an electrically conductive layer having a preferable volume resistance of 1010 Ωcm or more is formed. Furthermore, on the top layers on both the sides of the recording medium, a layer mainly made of a hardening resin is formed. The preferable support to use is a white polyester film from the special view point of the color of the coloration of the recording medium. |
