摘要 The separator has a separating base (3) in the vessel (1), at an angle to the horizontal. In the sludge trap chamber (5) it defines a sludge sump at an acute downwards angle and a floating matter collection zone at an acute upwards angle. A sludge takeoff (17) is at the lowest point of the sludge trap chamber, and the floating matter takeoff (21) is at the highest point of the separation chamber. The separation chamber (7) is operated without a free level. The sludge takeoff (17) is located at a point one-quarter of the vessel (1) height, and the grease takeoff (21) is at three-quarters of the vessel height. The separation base (3) acts as a heat exchange surface between the sludge trap chamber (5) and the separation chamber. An air bleed (23) is at the highest point of the separation chamber so that the vessel can be totally filled during operation without a free level. The connecting channel (19) in the separation chamber has an opening (19a) which is aligned upwards. The apparatus, when structured to separate grease, has a heating system at least at the upper section of the separating base and/or at the takeoff for the light matter, to heat and liquefy the floating grease. A trough, with an overflow weir, can be in front of the clean water takeoff (27). The overflow edge for the floating matter is structured and heated so that the light material can flow constantly over it. A grease collection chamber has an air bleed valve which, when closed, has a hollow and air-filled zone under it. When the valve is opened, any grease under the air zone floats upwards into the hollow section. The sludge trap chamber is linked to a sludge collection chamber with an air bleed valve. When the valve is closed, an air-filled zone is formed under it. When the valve is opened, the contents under the air space can move into it. A separator apparatus for starch, after a sludge trap, has a separation vessel divided by a separating base into an upper sludge trap chamber and a lower separation chamber. The sludge trap chamber has an inlet (13) for the water to be cleaned, and the separation chamber has an outlet for the clean water with an overflow edge. A connecting channel is between the sludge trap chamber and the separation chamber, with an overflow in the sludge trap chamber. The separating base is angled against the horizontal, and defines a sludge sump at an acute downwards angle. A sludge takeoff is at the lowest point of the sludge trap chamber, and a starch takeoff is at the lowest point of the separation chamber.
