PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a same image fastness as a Daguerreotype print by a method wherein a nitrogen-containing non-aromatic compound containing a nitrogen atom such as agiridine, pyrrolidine or piperidine and a polymer, in the side chain of which the above compound is included, are included in at least one constitutional layer on a support. SOLUTION: In order to produce an ink jet image recording medium, polymer compounds represented by formulae I-III are included on a support. In the formula I an N-containing annular structure represents a group of atoms, which can form a three or more membered nitrogen-containing non-aromatic ring. X1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkoxy group of the like. Y represents a group, which forms a covalent bond through a chemical reaction with the reactive group including a polymer. Further, in the formula II, R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or the like, n is an integer larger than 1, X2 is a hydrogen atom or a substituent, n is an integer larger than 1. In the formula III, X3 is a hydrogen atom or a substituent, m is an integer from 1 through 4, W is a bivalent continuous group; and Z is a group of non-metallic atoms, which can form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group. |
