The present invention relates to new piperazinone derivatives of the formula (I), in which R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5>, R<6>, R<7>, R<8>, W and X are such as defined in claim 1, as well as to the salts and solvates thereof. These derivatives are inhibitors of the coagulation factor Xa and can be used for preventing and/or treating thromboembolic disorders.
