Biaxially oriented polypropylene (PP) film with a base layer (A) and at least one sealable outer layer (B), in which the base layer contains a combination of a resin with an average mol. wt. (Mw) of 600-1500 and a wax with an average mol. wt. (Mn) of 200-700. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of this multilayer film in which the orientation stage comprises stretching in the machine direction by a ratio of (5:1)-(9:1) and in the transverse direction by a ratio of (5:1)-(10:1).
