The flight path correction method uses selectively deployed correction elements (10.1,10.2) projecting from the body of the shell (1), the shell detonator (2), or a separate correction unit (5) which rotates during the flight of the shell with a roll frequency of between 5 and 30 Hz, with an air bearing between the correction unit and the shell. An Independent claim is also included for a flight path correction device .
