PURPOSE: A field emission display is provided to exhaust gas easily by making subsidiary space circularly and to remove effectively remaining gas by forming getter at the uneven wall. CONSTITUTION: An anode electrode(307) and phosphor(306) are formed in order at one side of upper substrate(308). Cathode electrode(301) and emitter(302) is formed at one side of lower substrate(300) which is arranged to be opposite against upper substrate(308). Spacer(305) is formed between upper substrate(308) and lower substrate(300) and forms main space(309) between those. The first exhaust hole(311) is formed in a vertical direction at the part that cathode electrode(301) is not formed at in above lower substrate(300). Subsidiary vessel(316) has semi-spherical subsidiary space(317) to be connected spatially with above main space(309) through the first exhaust hole(311). Subsidiary space(317) includes exhaust hole(312) that is formed at the lower part of subsidiary vessel(316) of which inside wall is uneven. Material of subsidiary vessel(316) is of glass.
