摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rare earth magnet of a Nd-Fe-B system having a high coercive force and excellent corrosion proof characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The rare earth magnet contains the R<SB>2</SB>T<SB>14</SB>B phase (R is one or more kinds of element group of Nd, Pr, Dy, Tb, Ho, and T is one or more kinds of element group of Fe, Co, and Ni), and the R<SB>2</SB>T<SB>14</SB>B phase includes oxygen of 0.3 atom% to 1.3 atom% for the entire part of the R<SB>2</SB>T<SB>14</SB>B phase. The method of manufacturing the rare earth alloy including the R<SB>2</SB>T<SB>14</SB>B phase (R is one or more kinds of element group of Nd, Pr, Dy, Tb, and Ho, T is one or more kinds of element group of Fe, Co, and Ni) comprises a process to form a rare earth alloy in the composition of R<SB>x</SB>T<SB>y</SB>B<SB>z</SB>(0.05&le;x&le;0.30, 0.50&le;y&le;0.90, 0.01&le;z&le;0.30, x+y+z=1.00), a hydrogen absorbing process to heat the alloy in the atmosphere including hydrogen gas, a hydrogen releasing process to heat the alloy in the pressurized atmosphere lower than the atmospheric condition, and an oxygen diffusing process to heat the alloy in the atmosphere including oxygen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
