PURPOSE: A system for applying a bank account and a method for payment using a telephone number are provided to make remittance easy by recognizing a savings account with a telephone number, to realize mobile payment by using a telephone as a direct payment card, and to enhance security by recognizing a payer only with a caller ID in payment or payment approval. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a database server(70) for registering and managing the number of an account, the personal information of a depositor, a password, and the particulars of money deposition and drawing and a gateway device(60) for the security authentication in payment application, a registration service, and an Internet banking service. If a telephone subscriber applies for the opening of a bank account, a receipt window registers for a database server through the Internet. The registration is notices to the subscriber. The subscriber checks or changes the password, and keeps the balance by Internet banking transfer.
