PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator having little power loss and high airtightness, dimensional stability and mechanical strength by integrating an electrically conductive current collector part containing a resin binder to a manifold part having a composition different from the current collector part and surrounding the periphery of the current collector part to constitute the separator. SOLUTION: A reactive gas passing channel is formed in a current collector part 103 in the center of a separator 101, and a powdery conductive filler such as carbon, graphite, or expanded graphite is mixed so as to give the priority to conductivity. A manifold part 103 is a frame-like part surrounding the periphery of the current collector part 102, which has sealing function to prevent the leak of fuel gas or oxidizer gas and is provided with a fuel gas inlet port, oxidizer gas inlet port, and a cooling water inlet port. Since high mechanical strength and high dimensional stability are required for the manifold part 103, the whole body is desirably formed of a resin material. A non-conductive filler such as glass fiber can be also mixed to improve the mechanical strength. |
