PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casing for a tap post, which facilitates assembly operations for a tap post, enables only a riser for water supply to be easily replaced when the riser is damaged by freezing, etc., and enables a selection of lumber which is used as a material, easily adapts itself to a natural environment and prevents problems from arising during disposal. SOLUTION: The casing 3 for the hollow post-like tap post has the built-in riser 2 for the water supply, whose lower end is connected to a feed pipe 5 and whose upper end is connected to a hydrant 4. The casing 3 is split vertically in two so that two split-casing bodies 3A and 3B can be coupled together in such a manner to be freely separated.
