PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for hot-forming optical glass and a sintered alloy which has excellent high temperature mechanical properties and oxidation resistance, and is suitable for the peripheral members thereof. SOLUTION: As the material for the die, the sintered alloy having a composition containing 75 to 96 mass% W, Ni and Fe by 3 to 15 mass% in total also so as to satisfy Fe/Ni of 0 to 30 mass% and 1 to 10 mass% Cr with inevitable impurities is used. By mass, <=10% W can be substituted by one or more kinds selected from transition elements belonging to the group IVa, Va and VIa other than W and Cr.
