DINOFLAGELLATE LUCIFERASE AND GENE ENCODING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gene encoding an enzyme luciferase catalyzing the luminescent reaction derived from Pyrocystis lunula to enable the gene to be applied to applications including a reporter gene. SOLUTION: The objective gene applicable as a reporter gene is obtained by isolating the gene encoding Pyrocystis lunula-derived luciferase and identifying it and confirming its luminescent activity.
