METHOD FOR REGENERATING WASTE MOLDING SAND AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A method for regenerating waste molding sand and an apparatus therefor are provided to regenerate waste molding sand at low cost by reducing size of process facility and continuously arranging a series of working means so that a small amount of waste mold sand is repeatedly regenerated for mass-production in a small space. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a vibrating knock out machine (15) for separating waste molding sand from a cast article of molding flask by knocking out the molding flask; a transfer unit (16) for transferring waste molding sand discharged from the vibrating knock out machine (15); a crushing machine (17) arranged at the side of the transfer unit (16) to crush waste molding sand; a vibrating screen (18) for filtering waste molding sand discharged from the crushing machine (17); a hopper (19) located in rear of the vibrating screen (18) to inject raw materials including binder; a water sprayer (20) positioned in rear of the hopper (19) to spray water onto waste molding sand; a body of revolution (21) for kneading a mixture of water and waste molding sand; a support (22) for moving a kneaded material to the lower side; a cooling unit (23) for cooling the kneaded material; and a storage tank (25) for storing regenerated molding sand through a hopper (24), wherein the transfer unit (16) is formed of a belt conveyor or a screw installed inside cylindrical body, and wherein the cooling unit (23) is a unit for blowing cooling air to the kneaded material.
