<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a display unit resistant to moisture and impact, and to protect the same from static electricity. <P>SOLUTION: The input display unit 15 is covered by an upper shielding board 21 except on the display region of a display panel 17, a first cushioning material 24 is arranged between the upper periphery of the input display unit 15 and the lower surface of the upper shielding board 21 corresponding to the upper periphery, a second cushioning material 25 is arranged between the upper surface of the upper shielding board 21 corresponding to the first cushioning material 24 and the lower surface of the upper casing 2 of a main body housing 1, and the upper shielding board 21 is connected by a leaf spring 29 to the ground of a circuit board 28. An impact from the outside is fully absorbed by the first and second cushioning materials 24 and 25 which also provide resistance to moisture. In case static electricity is impressed onto the upper surface of the main body housing 1, it is dissipated to the ground through the upper shielding board 21 for the protection of the display unit 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
