A disposable diaper (1), comprising a fixing tape piece (14) extending in a body peripheral direction fitted to the body peripheral area of the diaper, the tape piece (14) further comprising a fixed tape part (14a) fitted to an external sheet (3) and a movable tape part (14e) arranged continuously with the fixed tape part (14a), the movable tape part (14e) further comprising a tip portion (24) having a drip holding area (14d) and a fixing means (16a) positioned at the front of the drip holding area (14d) and a base portion (28) arranged continuously with one end part of the fixed tape part (14a), wherein the fixing means (16a) is releasably and temporarily fixed to a bent portion to be elastically contracted in the body peripheral direction so as to be outwardly projected away from the outer surface of the body peripheral area (5).
